Southwest Soccer Club has run youth soccer programs in the Temecula Valley since 2001, and over 25 years we have built a full pathway rather than a single offering. A player can start with recreational soccer, move into competitive teams, sharpen skills through training, and stay active with after-school care — all under one club.

In our experience, the hardest part for parents is not choosing a program; it is knowing which one fits their child right now. So we start everyone with a free evaluation. We found that when players begin at the right level, they improve faster and enjoy the game longer, which is exactly what a 25-year pathway is designed to support.

Which program fits your player?

Program Best for
Recreational New or younger players who want fun, fitness, and fundamentals
Competitive teams Players ready to compete and pursue a college pathway
Training Any player closing a skill gap or preparing for tryouts
After-school Working families who need structured, supervised soccer
Youth development Players building leadership and eyeing college showcases

Common questions

How do I know which program is right for my child?

Start with a free evaluation. Our staff will watch your child play and give an honest recommendation — even if that means beginning at a more basic level first. Call (951) 760-9914.

Can players move between programs?

Yes — that's the whole point of a pathway. Many families start recreational and move into competitive teams or training as their player grows. We've supported that progression for 25+ years.

Two things matter to every soccer parent: safety and coaching. On safety, the CDC's HEADS UP program explains the concussion signs every family should recognize. On coaching, our director holds the USSF “A” License, the highest coaching qualification in U.S. soccer, earned by fewer than 1% of American coaches.
